Macbook Pro 10.6.4 After the Great is released
I had this team for three weeks, and I waited to write I had Fully Tested. The first came with a keyboard bad, was returned to Apple for replacement. He returned title = "Macbook Pro"> MacBook Pro, however, suffered from freezing all day and were then locked the keyboard and mouse, but continuous processes and 5 minutes of control was restored. This proved to be a common problem in the fully documented Apple. Fortunately, Apple has released an updated Snow Leopard (10.6.4), which solved the problem for most of us.
This team is incredibly fast, especially if it is fully loaded with memory (8 GB) and ordered a Solid State drive. But even without Standard memory and SSD (4GB) is faster than the MacBook Pro has never been done in nearly 30%. I love it.
I recommend users of that computer with 8 GB of memory, if possible. The extra memory makes a big difference in performance and not much more expensive. In addition, This kit comes with two options for the resolution of the screen. I high-resolution display with anti-reflective, and it is a joy to work. Now when I return to my old MacBook Pro with a resolution standard, and I realize I am worried about the difference.
Other commentators have listed some of the benefits of this equipment, other than speed. So let me list some of the issues:
1. Intensive applications, graphics generate much heat. When graphics chip is changed faster (which is automatic, unless you choose to always use the fastest chip on the preferences of energy), the team is hot. Not so hot that can be used on your lap, but close to that level.
2. The compute-intensive applications also generate much heat. The execution of a program that enables the rapid and simultaneous multi-core graphics chip is a perfect storm, and this team is hot at the bottom. Now you can work comfortably on your lap. If this is going to be a typical situation, get a cooling pad. I use the Logitech N100 and completely resolve the problem, but an added cost and download battery (which uses the USB port). But I am often runs calculations in the background, and a carpet cooling is essential. I expect that will be also important when used for gaming.
3. The battery life depends largely on use. High Speed graphics is a great option not to run on the battery, so it's a major loss. Unfortunately, engineers software do not offer an option to always use the slowest computer graphics on battery power. This is an important option that should be implemented in a version future, even if it means that some applications will not be able to function at all. The question of the battery is a defect that prevents the computer is a bon voyage.
You can not change the battery, and if you travel and the low battery, simply close the business or find a way. They are very difficult to find, and airlines often do not provide output in the seats or in the waiting areas in airports.
Despite the above problems, which forced me to give this team of four stars, I love it. It is the best computer I've used portable, even if they take another MacBook Pro when I travel because of battery problems. The speed of this equipment is comparable to a desktop Mac Pro 3 GHz Nehalem. Core i7 chip is indeed a powerful processor and all applications will take about 30% faster than previous Macs.
